Perpetual Change presents
Jimmy Jam
All-Star Jam Night & Benefit for Jim Parker & Family
Featuring Perpetual Change, the Zeros,
Rattle & Hum, Symetrix, Lin Buck and more!
Saturday, March 28th
The Brooksider - Kansas City, MO
10:00 pm - 2:00 am
$5 Cover
Members of Rattle and Hum will be performing the music of U2 this Saturday at Jimmy Jam, a benefit for Jim Parker (guitarist for Perpetual Change). Jim suffered a ruptured appendix which has sidelined him from rocking on stage. His bandmates in PC have decided to turn this Saturday's already-scheduled PC date at the Brooksider into an All-Star Jam and benefit for Jim and his family featuring some of Kansas City's best musical acts (and who also happen to be good friends of PC).
The Zeros, Symetrix, Lin Buck and Rattle and Hum will all appear on stage to rock the night out. Rattle and Hum will feature Gary (drums/Larry Mullen, Jr), Tony (guitars, Edge) and Pat (bass, Adam Clayton); and will welcome Mike Bozzoli of PC as he sits in for singer Mike "Bono" Jackson (out of town on business) in performing a set of U2's timeless classics. We hear Lin Buck might elbow Bozzili off stage for a song or two. Band photographer Brian Rice will also be on hand shooting the event, and the proceeds of print orders of the event through his website will go to Jim's family.
This is shaping up to be a very exciting and special night, perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime event with so many of KC's finest acts on the same stage on the same night. Please come out and support a fine cause this Saturday!

St. Patrick's Day back at the Power and Light!
Following a great, well-received performance at the Power and Light District on New Year's Eve, Rattle and Hum have been invited back to the Live! Block stage once again, this time to headline the Power and Light District's St. Patrick's Day party on Tuesday, March 17th. The day's festivities are expected to begin immediately after the conclusion of the Kansas City St. Patrick's Day Parade (which ends right in front of the P&L at 13th and Grand), and are expected to include various Irish-themed acts throughout the afternoon, culminating in Rattle and Hum's headline performance at seven.
Two Shows on St. Patrick's Day
Also, repeating Rattle and Hum's two-show St. Pat's Day last year, Rattle will likely be playing a special early afternoon gig from 1pm to 3pm at a venue in downtown KC immediately after the parade. We expect this special gig to be confirmed shortly.
UPDATE: 3/4/09. Rattle and Hum will be playing the Record Bar on St. Patrick's Day from 1:30 to 3pm! Then later that evening Rattle will perform at the Power and Light as mentioned above! And what makes this all so great?
IT'S RATTLE AND HUM'S THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Come out and say hi!
December 2008
Saturday, December 27th
New Year's Eve 2009 at the Power and Light!
Featuring Rattle and Hum!
Celebrating the new year on the KC Live! Block stage! Rattle and Hum will be sharing the stage with three other acts: Dead or Alive (Bon Jovi tribute), Paradise City (Guns and Roses tribute) and fellow Kansas Citians KC/DC (AC/DC tribute). Rattle takes the stage from 10:15 to 11pm, so don't miss it! Admission to the KC Live! Block area (see the attached photo) is FREE; however, most if not all of the surrounding bars will be charging a cover for entry ($30 tickets in advance, $40 at the door for most, although Raglan's seems to be the cheapest at $20 after 10pm). But again, it's FREE to see the bands outside.
And speaking of outside, we have been assured it will be temperature controlled that evening, up to 20 degrees warmer in the Live! Block area than the actual temperature. As the current forecast for Wednesday night is in the 20s, that should mean it will be a balmy 40 to 45 degrees at the stage when Rattle performs ;)
We hope you can join us to ring in the new year! Our next currently scheduled show isn't until Saturday, March 14th at the Brooksider so catch us while you can!

To all,
Rattle & Hum has been playing for just over a year now, having celebrated their one year anniversary this past St. Patrick's Day. As the band wrap up the spring with the show at the Brooksider this Saturday at ten, the members each have a personal message for everyone who has come out and watched their shows, whether it be new fans seeing them for the first time recently as well as those who have been there with them from the beginning...
--------
Thanks, Everyone, for making 2007 "rattle and hum" all over the city. This spring showed us the close of our "freshman" year as Rattle & Hum KC. And like the graduation season upon us, our fans have ushered us through the classes of rock showdom. So let's send off our frosh year and this spring season with a killer show at the Brooksider and harken in our continuing educations with YOU, the best fans around.
MJ (Bono)

Rattle & Hum started with two friends, immense love for the greatest band ever (next to the beatles), an idea, ability, and friends/closest brothers who f-ing rock! Our core value states nothing but play the songs note for note, smile, and have more fun than you have ever had ever in your life! Thank you for all you do as friends/fans who love it as much or more, and WE LOVE U ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RHKC Nation ē
I love playing in this band. I love it because the music of U2 is so deeply entrenched into my soul. I pinch myself every time we play and sometimes I close my eyes during a show and imagine we're at Kemper Arena, the United Center in Chicago, MSG in New York, or some venue in faraway Europe. It's easy to imagine because of the great people who put down their hard earned money, have a few drinks with us and show themselves to be the best friends a rock band could ask for.
To all of our friends who have come out multiple times (sometimes week after week) I say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. You make all of this possible and we, in turn because of you, feel a special drive to put on the best show we have ever played, every time we play.
We are so humbled to have such great associates working with us ē Matt, who shapes our sound and is our respected critic; Brian, who has a beautifully fantastic photographers eye and has helped us shape our image; Martin, who is the best lighting coordinator in town (who's really a sound guy!); and of course our man Tom, who make us feel (undeservedly) like true rock stars! I only get more stoked thinking about all the things we'd like to do with this lil' production as time moves forward. (Who knows, Mike/Bono as Mr. Macphisto would be an outstanding start!!) Thanks again and see you soon!
Pax,

RHKC Family -
I'm the rookie in the band. Gary invited me to join the band during the middle of our Freshman year. He is an old friend that I have spent mucho time with writing, recording and performing original music. When he first asked me to join, I was a bit skeptical because I didn't want to be in a "cover" band. I was going through a lot of changes in my life and decided, thankfully, to give it a shot.
Learning the songs with limited rehearsal proved to be a challenge. Not because the songs were tough but I quickly realized that Rattle and Hum was not just a cover band but a group of artists that are truly passionate about the legacy of U2. The passion of Gary, Mike and Tony for U2 music has been infectious. They are great people that I have enjoyed getting to know and being part of this exciting project.
Matt, Martin and Tom are the best production support I have ever played with. Their commitment to our performance is unyielding. Brian, the lowest paid publicist in town, has been remarkable in capturing the artistry of RHKC and putting it out there for all to see and enjoy. Thanks Brian for all you do!
The most exciting part of RHKC is the enthusiasm of the people that experience our show. Their appreciation of the RHKC show makes me feel privileged to be a part of the RHKC experience. I become more passionate with each show in bringing the sight, sound and passion of U2 to our audience. Stay tuned because we are just getting started!
